This may seem like an odd subject for our blog, but we’re going there. Part of our mission is to make sure the youth in our community have access to a safe place to have fun, become inspired and well be exactly what they are supposed to be. Kids.
Kids shouldn’t have to worry about adult issues but what happens when you’re a young lady who becomes an adult at a very early age. Yes this is a “Are you there god it’s me Margaret” Conversation. Did you know that a staggering amount of women go without feminine hygiene products every month? It is especially a problem for shelters and the homeless population.
Kicking off the month of March, we are promoting the donation of women’s hygiene products to women’s resource centers. Here in Cadillac we have the Oasis Family Resource Center.
We will be updating drop off Locations weekly but here’s a few places where you can drop products off.
So the next time you are in the store, and if you have the funds grab a box of tampons or a pack of pads and know that it will be going to a good cause.
